Hi everyone, I am a proud new owner of Mk 7 fiesta CL. I recently bought a set of rear view camera (number plate mounted) to install in my car.
But I have problems trying to remove the hatch trim plastic. Can anyone help? I found three screws, 2 at sides, 1 at handle. After removing these, do I just "pull" out the plastic? I am afraid of breaking the trim. |

I have done it. It's a while ago now.
I thought I might break the thing, but it came off - almost unscathed. The reason is that I had not noticed little plastic things holding the big plastic part to the body. So they were sheared right off! When I replaced it, it fitted fine. There were no visible signs of the damage I had done. I thought it unnecessary to tell the wife about this, for some reason. It's her car. |

Hi thanks for the reply. Which part of the plastic did you start prying off? We're the broken plastics covered inside the bug trim?

It's a while ago, like I said. From memory I had to slightly lift the part of the large plastic thing just inside the boot.
The broken parts certainly were covered when I put everything back. |
