Default MMR 5.0 Coyote Twin Turbo drag car

saw this a few days ago thought i would share it on here, looks like MMR will be making a switch in the next month or 2 to the Coyote engine, here is the new 5.0 setup in their 10.5 Mustang, not exactly sure of the turbo size i'd say somewhere in the 80-88mm range. check out the sexy magneto style ignition

MMR took the new twin turboed Coyote powered Mustang out this weekend, not only is it a PB but they have set a new record running 7.02@202mph, that is the fastest & quickest Coyote powered 1/4 mile pass. great work with an engine that has only been out for 2-3 years.

also, saves me starting a new thread, not to be outdone, Greg ran a 6.14@241mph in the Red MMR 5.4 modular car making it the fastest modular pass ever, beating John Mihovetz's Accufab Racing pass of 236mph.

the 6.14 also makes it the 2nd quickest modular pass ever. only Mihovetz has been quicker with a 6.08, well done MMR

no market.

i'm surprised they didn't come out turbocharged from the factory, they have the XR6T's/Ecoboost etc and with every car manufacturer in the world switching to turbo's and turbo technology advancing as much as it has it would have been the obvious choice in my mind.

see what happens when the new turbo CobraJet's come out, Mustang and possibly Falcon may follow suit, now that ProDrive is out of the picture.

yeah its a shame that there were no comerically available kits designed for the XR8/GT since the introduction of the XR6T. the GenIII scene got on to it but our little old BOSS missed the train. oh well see what the future holds.

i've had heads, crank n block sitting in the US for over a year now, seeing what the MMR car has done, was thinking of building one of them as a spare motor instead of another modular

the Commodore guys are just crazy

it's funny how it's so different in the US, the modular and Coyote Mustang is probably the most modified car on the market. from what i have heard turbo systems outsell all the other forms of forced induction combined, was talking to one manufacturer they are 3-6 months behind on orders
