184 cm 109kg bmi 32 got down to 98kg and people called me small and was getting asked if I had cancer. At 109kg I am doing 40 tgo 80km bike rides and fitting into size 97 pants . Most footballers would be obese according to BMI

BMI 26.5, 183cm and 88kg. As a fireman I'm quite fit and not carrying to much extra, don't put much stock in BMI

Ok, I know it's a yank thing, but should apply to us too?
You'll need to convert your weight to pounds because it's yankee. (Kgs x 2.2 gives your weight in pounds)

Size 30 Jeans, can still fit in to T shirts and suits I had 20 years ago. And I'm just overweight on the BMI.

Even if the BMI isn't the most accurate metric for optimum weight, I'm still definitely underweight! 175cm and between 50-55kg (I say in between because I can literally fluctuate between the figures on a weekly basis such is my erratic metabolism!) No amount of healthy eating or physical exercise has ever stabilised this habit, nor has it put on muscle mass -_- It's like I have a non-crippling version of Muscular Dystrophy! (A terrible disease, a friend has it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duchenn...ular_dystrophy)

Hmm I'm living until I'm 88 according to the life span indicator. Take that BMI Index!

Lifespan Calculator tells me my magic age is 92. Holy ........ that's a LONG time more!!

I posted earlier than my BMI says I'm underweight. Which I know I am thanks to high metabolism.

I think to some extent, weight is a number and so is BMI. If you're active, eat healthy, take care of your body and feel good about yourself, that has a lot to say about you.

I'm 6ft and 95kg which give me a BMI of 28 but with a 34 inch waist I'm pretty sure I'm a long way from obese. Still makes me sad that in a survey I would be counted as borderline obese which is misleading.

Yep tis crap index... a body fat scale measure is much better

How do you compare an office clerk to a bloke who's silly enough to swing sledge hammers all his working life?(me )
BMI is for the office clerk... key board fingerer :P

Mines just gone under 30(178cm/93.3kg)had my Health and Wellbeing check up at work today, started @ 109kg last October.
Hoping to get back to my old level of fitness of 3 yrs ago 11%BF and a BMI... of 30(gym junky), had a bad bout of tennis elbow which stopped me from doing much outside work so I got lazy and fat.
