Manged to unbolt the water pump but simply CANNOT!! get the bloody
thing out of the engine bay. Have removed power steering pump, cam sprocket and half of everything else! Seems to be hitting on the dipstick but can it be removed without pulling off the sump to remove the dipstick. Got all bar two of the sump bolts off, the last two will also need the removal of the tranny inspection cover and possibly trans support plates just to get the cover off to remove the last two sump bolts. I am going absolutely insane!!! Could Ford have been so incredibly stupid to necessitate the removal of half the engine just to get at the water pump. Please help!! Thanks, Will. |
