Default Crate Engine In AU XR8?

Hi, everyone... Was summing up all my options... Stroker, turbo, supercharge... You know the usual... I came across PAVTEK, and they have some wicked crate engines....

I like this one:
http://www.pavtek.com.au/index.php?o...=114&Itemid=19

Anyways, just wandering... "If" i were to buy one and it arrived right now, could i just drop the motor in an drive? Maybe rebuild tranny?

It comes with everything right? Block, heads, etc And i can just transfer steering pump and stuff from my 220 motor?

Any thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated...( Is this in the right section, if not can someone move it for me?)

For the time, money and effort involved, just get a intercooler and supercharger kit.

I don't wanna go forced inuduction... Not yet anyway... Having a powerful 347 stroker with 450hp would be awesome anyway... Plus my mates gone to Europe for three months and he left me with his 300rwkw 6 turbs :

I have a stock 4 speed auto box btw....(i do have trans cooler and elec shiftkit) But ill probably get it rebuilt with stronger internals anyway, to be safe...

I do plan on bringing it to a workshop and just let them do there stuff.... Tuning etc.....

Thats fine with me really, i've been quoted twice as much to get my motor strokered for less power, and i mean i don't want bucketloads of power... My 220 motor is keeping me satisfied for now....

How come it says the engine made 430hp@6000 rpm BTW? I'm not trying to start an argument, im just curious? Is it somthing to do with power being lost through the drivetrain, etc?

Yes ,thats exactly what CFOUR was getting at.

But to say only 350 might not be impressive for him, but that would be a bucket load of fun for me and dont forget all that torque !!

You would really need to give them a call to get more info.

Ideally it would be a roller cam block, come with late model reverse rotation water pump, and a 50oz balancer. You have no need for the Vic Jr carb intake so no point including that in the build.

Call them and have a chat, I am sure they could build one to be as close to "drop-in" as possible.

'Scuse me for asking a dumb question but........ The Engine in the pic from the link seems to have a large Carby sitting in the middle.

Why would you want to got from Fuel injection back to carburetion ?

Easy, buy motor, remove and sell intake & carby.

then go and buy injected manifold. ie, performer RPM2

Or talk to them about their EFI upgrade. I have no experience with Holley EFI, but maybe someone else can comment...
