Default Aussies saved from Fiat's ad

We still can be grateful for some things. Our Advertising Standards Board has banned Fiat's icecream ad for being too rude.

I am thinking of writing to Fiat saying they might get the ad through the Board - provided they reshoot it with the same model (Catrinel Menghia), but have her wearing a Zegna suit and tie.

That ad used to come and go over a long period of time. I remember seeing it come on during a State of Origin match last year, or might have even been the year before and later seeing an article in a newspaper condemning it as sexist.

Wow, the nanny state saves us from dangers we didn't even recognise! So grateful.

If there's a difference between Australia 2013 and communism can somebody tell me about it?

The Europeans are more grown up than us. They don't snigger when someone says S41T or Truck minus the tr and add an F.

They should have a shot at Toyota for the crappy add where about 30 people get out of the car? that isn't very responsible to allow young people to see that. NO SEAT BELTS!!!!!!
Oh well, maybe Toyota pays better bribes.

WTF has happened to the Australia I grew up in?

The whole PC attitude has gone made, an advertisment with pretty girl with mild sexual overtones is bad whilst a bunch of people dressed in all sorts of gear makig all sorts of sexual overtones during the Sydney Gay and Lesbian mardi gras is prefectly ok.

I guess Conroy's thought police will be soon involved...

Romanians have a lot of Italian blood, due to the Roman empire.
They speak a similar language.
