I'm wondering if anyone has any photo's of series 1 17" tickford wheels painted black. Considering making the change to mine.

Yes and it's not a good look. Look up user '5L' he has done it to a blue 220 sedan.

5L has the S2/3 type, they look good on his I think. The S1 wheels look wrong in black though.

Black wheels look great on anything, IMO. Once you've had black, you won't go back. I had gold AU2 Tickfords on a galaxy blue AU XR8.

Black wheels can make anything look good,killrust black gloss gives an awesome finish without the need for primer if you are a diy person

i had black 20's and they really suited it
Making me wonder about the ticky's now. Part of what makes the S1 ticky wheels look so good is the nice shine they have to them. Black would probably make them look more like a racing wheel, which i like. Might get a photo shop done

I dont think black wheels go with ANY colour car, but yeah they do look alright on some darker coloured cars. Personally, if i was you, i'd be looking at silvers or dark silvers or possibly even gun-metal sorta colours if you still wanna go for that kinda look, simply because black on any colour has been done to death. But thats just my 2c. I'd even go as far as to say look into other actual colours aswell...
