I was watching Downton Abbey, tonite and a Ford ute ad came on.
It said "Do any of these words describe your ute ? and one of the words was the "B" word. If so, you need a new Ford Ute for $31.790" after the ad was Tropical Auto Group Rockhampton. was it a Ford ad or TAG ad ???? First time I have seen the ad.

Off topic but Downton Abbey is an excellent series and makes a pleasant change from some of the crap on TV of late I for one enjoy watching a show where every second word spoken doesn't begin with an "F" and the actors portraying the various parts can actually act

It would be good if Ford is jumping on the front foot to diffuse the word Bogan.
Just like being called a Wog, or a Bloody Volvo Driver. Adopt it and make fun of it and it's not a problem any more. Lukeyson

I don't see a problem with it, I wouldn't consider bugger to be even slightly rude or offensive in any way

I think the word bugger has morphed into a harmless slang word, if you asked ten people
what the correct meaning was I would guarantee that five wouldn't have a clue what the true meaning was.

Huh...i'm old enough to remember when the song "Snoopy and the Red Baron" played on the radio actually had the word "Bloody" in the line about the "bloody Red Baron of Germany" was bleeped out...when it wasn't "bloody" as in "bloody hell", but "bloody" as in "war is a bloody business"...this was back in the mid seventies.
