Default Trouble starting

Hi guys just wondering if someone could help me out with my EF, I've been having some problems starting it. Turn the key to start and nothing happens, I can hear the fuel pump working and all the lights on the dash seem normal. lights dont dim if i try starting it with them on, the starter motor dosnt even seem to do anything iv checked all the wireing connections. The strange part is after trying to start it for 10 to 15 minutes it will start no worries. has anyone ever had this happen to them befor i start replacing things?
thx

also its a manual.
