Default rev gauge

hey guys my mates got a 96 EF Fairmont and his putting in a monstar taco n he cant get to the coil so he was just wondering wich colour wire if the ones that connect to the cluster is the one that connects to tyhe stock rev gauge and if he run the monsta tacho off it will it show revs ? thx for ur help

do you need to get power to the tacho or what, if all u need is power, just get it straight frm the battery, and put a switch between the battery and the tacho! that will stop it going flat, so when ur not using the tacho, u switch it off

nah he needs to connect the cord that acctully reads revs but cnt get to the coil so he wants to connects it to trhe one that goes to the stock rev tacho in the cluster but donst knopw wich cord it is

if it's the same as an EA-ED it's a pink wire with a black or dark green line on the fire wall near the back right hand side of the engine if your looking from the front of the carit goes into a 4 wire plug
