A t5z is good for 230rwkw, or try and get a t5 out of a AU2/3 xr8 and change the input shaft. This is the same box that the Mocks are running in the red (NOS) car and white (turbo) car. Get a TKO if all else fails, good up to 600hp.

I reckon if you want to keep it manual you should get a top loader with a PPG dog gearset. That would make for some pretty damn fast manual gearchanges and something that you would never break.

The bull*%#!**%#!**%#!**%#!* thing is that i wasnt giving it hell when it broke i was going up the on ramp to the west gate free way and it made this grinding nose and poped out of 3rd after that it was making all kinds of noses. I would understand it if i broke it while booting it but this is the 3rd box that has blown up when i have been taking it easy. Ill stick anther t5 into for now so i can drive it and once i get the cash i think i`m gonna go try find my self a mustang 6 speed manual gear box, or ill take tuffed6 advice with the top loader and change my diff gears to 3:45 and Guns thanx for the advice as well mate What gear box is a TKO

The TKO is a 5 speed version of the stronger 6 speed. Its about 3K cheaper though when you buy from Mal Wood.

The TKO conversion kit is about $5500 last time I checked. The 6 speed is around $8500 I think.

I think that custom bellhousings are only made for W58 and W57 supra boxes. These are barely stronger than the T5 if at all.

Ive got one behind my RB30 in the torana and doubt it will last long when the turbo is fitted up.

The R154 is the strong one twin turbo version and second hand boxes go for around $1500.

You must be puting alot of power through it. Mine loves the power and torque. It could easily take more too!

Hey dude the way you describe it falling out of gear sounds like you pull it out of gear before the clutch has fully disengaged if this is the case wont matter what box you get unless its straight cut dog box as i used to shift hard and rip it thrue the gears untill the gearbox mech i had look at mine told me this is what happens. Hope this saves ya some cash
