It's that type of opinion that encourages manufacturers to put huge markups on cars that aren't 'good enough' to be that expensive, and IMHO they should be discouraged from this practice.

I know that post 2016 the Forums should be more civil with less people arguing about what Ford should do to save the Falcon, and how to increase sales.
At least that is a plus.

It will just change to be what ford should have done and how over-priced the mustang is.

Once again it is irrelevant to compare our pricing to that in the USA - there are too many variables. Just because a Mustang costs 'x' in the States does not mean it should cost 'y' here. Once again it's crazy to think they will do a base Mustang for the same price as a Focus...I just don't see how they would go down that path and basically give them away for $35k here. Yes the previous Mustang here sold slowly, but a little thing called inflation has been happening in the meantime, and Mustang quality has improved too. Fast forward to 2013 and $60-70k for a fairly desirable sports coupe is not a lot of money! Hell...you can spend over $50k on a fairly mundane Commodore, so how could a premium coupe like the V8 Mustang be a $45k proposition? Wishful thinking....IMO.

I would have thought the Toyota 86/Subaru BRZ might be a good model to emulate here. They priced them sharply and they can't import them fast enough.
Sure it's a somewhat underpowered flat 4 vs a V6 but base model vs base model it looks like the mustang comes in cheaper than the BRZ or Scion FRS over there. Not that we could compare the 2 markets. Could we? |

Do Ford manufacture any RHD vehicles in the US to export to RHD markets or are they all manufactured in their overseas factories?
