Default KE laser no start

I have a KE laser 1.6 carb. I have replaced coil & distributor & still have no spark at plugs. I am completely lost, can anybody help please.

Is the new coil properly grounded. You usually need to scratch off some paint on the coil (where the retaining bracket touches/fits).

It is not the std round coil, it is module type coil, I cleaned body where coil mounts and I have replaced engine control module on fire wall, still no spark, dist came off a running vehicle.

Ok - understood. Still got the old coil & dissy ?? maybe try changing them back (separately) to isolate the problem.

From memory, there is a black module inside the distributor called an ignitor....about the size of a matchbox, that can pack up. Easy to replace, needs to have thermal paste under it though. If this packs up, no spark.

I have tried all the swap with old & new, I have put both units on a friends laser & they work ok.

Geez that's weird. Might be time to get a auto elec to look at it ???
Maybe also check all your fuses & relays - to make sure one hasn't blown.
Engine is cranking over - just no spark ????
