Default Service Interval Query

Here's another one for you all.

How did Ford get the oil and filter change intervals increased from 10,000 on the AU1 to 15,000 on the 2 and 3?

Oil capacity increaced from 5 to 5.5L in the AU series 2-3.

I would be changing the oil at 10K or maybe a little earlier, not worth the risk at changing at 15K.

Ok half a litre extra.

I'm still going to change the oil and filter at 10,000km's though.

Better to be safe than sorry!

I change mine every 5,000kms.. oil simply doesnt seem to last 10,000kms in my car, it goes like water in consistancy, even with top shelf filters.

What oil are you using? I had a similar problem with fully synthetic, Mobil 1 in fact!
