Default Fiesta WT Pollen/Cabin Filter

Hey guys, I've been trying to replace the pollen filter in my WT Fiesta, but I can't seem to find it.

I've opened up the trim in the driver's foot well (where the filter is for the UK Mk7 Fiesta). I've even checked the passenger foot well trim. Still no good.
Had a feel around in the glovebox, but no latch it seems.

Has anyone changed the filter before yourself?

If its the same as the WS Fiesta, I did a thread on how to service the car:

http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11379240

In the WS, its in the driver side footwell, same side as the clutch pedal on the side of the center console:

Technical Contributor: For members who share their technical expertise. - Issue reason: Ford couldn't fix my BlueTooth issue. This member posted a download link, with instruction, on how to do it myself. One week on, the unit hasn't played up once. Three different dealers told me to virtually 'Live with it.

I would be very surprised if it is in a different spot.

Yep, looks like it's different.

Nothing in the hole. It was also capped off by a plastic piece with a rubber seal all around it (same kind of rubber seal like the one in the above pictures with the ends poking out, but the plastic piece is completely different) secured with 4 screws at each corner with a dab of white paint on top of each.

Hole compared to the pollen filter I bought from Autobarn specifically for the WT Fiesta.

Hmm, thats very odd.

I'll ask my mate who works at a Ford dealership, will probably get the reply tomorrow.

EDIT:

He said driver side footwell, left hand side?

Maybe they sold you the wrong filter?

Hey thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

That was the driver side footwell. The car is an automatic, so no clutch pedal. Other than that, it's pretty much exactly the same area as in your photo.

The hole was also quite empty, as in, it's a hole into an air duct or something. There were no rails or any kind of guidance system to hold a filter in place. Moreover, there was no filter in there to begin with.

I've checked with a dealer just then and they said it is actually under the hood right up against the firewall where the wiper arm sits.

I'll probably bury my head in it again tonight and see what I get

Caydus,

Did you find it? I've had a look at my sons car, and buggered if I can find it.
