Default 95 Laser - Adjustable tappets?

Hi all,

I've just picked up a 1995 Laser Ghia with a 1.8 & 5 spd manual. There seems to be a bit of top end rattle/ticking at idle.

Are the tappets adjustable on these, or are they a bucket on shim arrangement?

It has been sitting for several months and was mine for the towing cost so I'm not expecting things to be perfect!

Cheers,

Russ

Smile Re: 95 Laser - Adjustable tappets?

Disregard my post ladies and gents! I got the car home yesterday afternoon and on removing the oil filler cap I can see that the top end is bucket on shim.

I need to remove the cam cover and try and see where my ticking noise is coming from.
