can anyone weld my au Sump together so i can start putting the motor in my car or same where that can do it.

I assume he is fitting an au engine to his ef so he requires his au sump moded to fit

most auto and exhaust shops should have the ability to weld you just want to make sure the dimensions are correct. Best to ring around until you find a shop who's familiar with the conversion and then it's just a matter of asking for the sump modified for an EF and they'll do the rest. Otherwise get the dimensions and any welder should be able to do it (possibly cheaper too) I think I saw them on ebay a while ago too, shouldn't cost more than $100 to get it modifed but I could be wrong!

Not many exhaust shops will weld alloy..... not many mechanics do tig welding....
You have to cut the sump and replace it with peice of alloy plate

or
grind back the fins and you will get a few mm gap .. thats fine as the motor does not move back and forth .

I was told that to grind down the front of the sump is correct on EA - ED series where it has the square tube across the front of the frame or the tube can be cut and altered relatively easy.
BUT on the EF - EL the pressed K-frame has to be cut and a section taken out or else cut and weld the sump.

Bend the flat lip on the K frame and grind the fins .
