Hi guys first post here - Apologies if this isn't in the right area. Hoping for some advice.
I've had tonnes of Lasers, always liked the blue oval, moved to Subaru for motorsport and find i'm looking at the trusty Ford yet again for a dedicated daily and tow car. Been looking around at a AUII or AUIII XR series. Just not sure what is a good price, or what I should be looking for beyond the model. For example here are two found on Gumtree.. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/glene...ale/1022153437 http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/onkap...ute/1023379655 One is a manual 6 and the other is an auto 8, but apart from that they seem very similar. Priced similar too. I'd be leaning towards the 8 for more towing power, auto for long drives and err, never had an 8 before. The 6 is a nicer colour, better on petrol.. (but by how much?) I'd really like leather and a sunroof as options. Not sure what other options these came with. What do you guys think of these two examples? Any help, advice or anything would be great! Looking forward to getting back into a Ford.

There are 2 good looking XRs' in a car yard in Pt Lincoln for under $10k. One's a tray top and the other a style side, both silver and I think one is also Dual fuel. Have a look HERE.

I'm looking but not for utes, I'd take the XR8 its cheaper and you get the spare wheels as well. Some people say black cars always look dirty, so depending on your job Black might be harder to keep clean than sliver. Re leather etc it varied. You can always get leather from a wreaker (if they have it) and swap out the standard interior. I bough wetsuit seat covers, easy to clean and comfortable to sit in for my sedan before I sold it.
