Smile Phantom ..Ghost Who Walks..Milestone

September 9,marks the 1,700 issue of The Phantom, comic.
Who wouldn't like a mint copy of issue 1....
I prefer the stories with the Jungle Patrol and Colonel Weekes,
But any Phantom is good !!!

A Mate, who is 54, has been subscribing to the comic since he was a kid, he may have the whole lot.

While the basic Ford Six was code named Barra, the Turbo version clearly deserved its very own moniker – again enter Gordon Barfield.
We asked him if the engine had actually been called “Seagull” and how that came about.
“Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”.

I said he is 54, that's his age, mentally he's about 11 or 12.

He would be doing very very well to have a complete set of originals as it was first published (in Aust) on the 9th of Sept 1948, complete collections are exceptionally rare and worth an incredible amount of money.....
