The Japanese marque's new, more car-like SUV is priced from under $40,000 to compete with the likes of the Toyota Kluger and Ford Territory. The rugged ute-based vehicle currently on sale starts from $48,890.
Like the Kluger, the new Pathfinder will have a powerful V6 under the bonnet expected to make around 190kW of power. There will be no diesel option, but a supercharged hybrid model might be around the corner. The Pathfinder will be $500 cheaper than the Toyota, and priced on par with the entry-level Ford Territory at $39,990 plus on-road costs. Advertisement Nissan says the Pathfinder’s 3.5-litre V6 will be paired with a continuously variable transmission with the option of two-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive. Final details have not been released, though the car will be available in three trim levels peaking with the $64,890 Ti 4WD. Nissan Pathfinder prices (plus on-road costs): ST 2WD: $39,990 ST-L 2WD: $50,290 Ti 2WD: $60,790 ST 4WD: $44,290 ST-L 4WD: $54,290 Ti 4WD: $64,890 http://news.drive.com.au/drive/motor...930-2uo99.html
