Hey guys and girls,
I know I should be getting better economy then this surely. It's the exact same driveline as I had in my wagon and yet it feels down on power, and is using excessive amounts of fuel (on average of 20L per 100km's locally, and 16L per 100km's on the freeway)... My wagon use to get 12.5L's per 100km's at worst, and that was giving it a hiding every chance, running out every gear and skids most of the time too (on private roads)... It's got a new oxy sensor, new leads/plugs/coilpack, injectors, thermostat, fuel pump... The only thing I can think of is do a t/b clean, check the TPS voltages and clean the regulator (should be clean as though, as the fuel tank was removed within the first 10,000km's of its life)... Maybe replace the intake sensor too...? Cat isn't blocked 100%. And for those who don't know, 4L VCT 5 speed manual AU Fairlane Sportsman Any help appreciate...

When you did the manual conversion,
Did you Chip the ECU?

FYI ... I get 14 litres/100km average this year, on E10 primarily.
... having travelled 4374 kms, comprised of 2508/57% on city and suburban, and 1866/43% on freeway (110km/hr stuff, more or less) to give 14.06 litres/100km.

ECU scan was done a week ago, no issues showed up after 3 back to back scans...
Still auto ECU, but my wagon was the same for 6 months until I found a manual ECU.

You Converted the Lane to Petrol didn't you?
and the Wagon was LPG with a mixer? So even if the ECU was demanding a richer mix, the mixer wasn't doing so?

Wagon is straight petrol, as is the Fairlane. Same engine/box/diff gear setup, same fuel.
Wagon came off straight LPG after less then a month, that used 62L in 120km's no thanks to Autotech and failing to tune it even though I was charged for a tune.

Use the OBD Tool to see if the Oxygen Sensor is functioning and what your fuel trims are..
Also check your HEGO Fuse in the engine bay to see if it is blown.
