Hi All
Finally have my AU1 Sedan roadworthy and rego is tomorrow. I've noticed this morning that the car wont switch to gas. I've recently had the tank removed for testing and stamping. All done by a qualified tester. I've had it empty for 6 months leading up to today. I put 25litres of gas in it and 10L of petrol. I've been running on petrol for the last few days between the workshop and home but the car wont switch to gas. I flick the switch and it clicks and lights up then the light goes away and it stays on petrol. Is it something simple? Any help would be great! Cheers |

Yes check the tank tap. May also be a converter issue if you haven't run it on gas for awhile. Will it start on gas? Or simply won't switch to gas after starting on petrol?
Mine won't switch to gas after starting on petrol. Or switching back to gas. Haven't had the time to get looked at. It's really starting to bug me though.

What sort of converter?
is it factory dual fuel? Are you doing this at idle or whilst driving?

okay so ive replaced the solenoid near the tank and it switched after a few attempts. now its doing the same thing as before where it switches... few seconds later turns back to petrol. ive checked that there is no leaks coming from the engine bay ( air box, hoses ) ive also removed the plug at the bottom of the converter to see if it needed to be drained or anything and it was clean. im going to try switching while driving and accelaerating maybe its not pushing through properly? any suggestions?
