Hey Guys,
I'm going to be pulling out the dash of my AU off Road racer. I have read that if i pull the dash out, I'm going to have to do a trip to ford to get something re programmed? The mechanic couldn't really tell me what it was, so im a bit skeptical, but don't want to go nuts pulling it out only to find out that I will need to go to ford. Secondly to that, if I it will need a trip to ford, can i just cut it out without cutting the wire etc? I mean i dont need the dash and its pretty beat up so wont be selling it. Thanks Callan

If you pull the dash, just leave the loom/ignition etc and BCM all connected. Then it'll be fine.

Look up and try to get in contact with a company called "Concept Vehicle Operation" that were in thomastown.
They repaired the dash in mine when I did the Fairmont swap. I had the topper pad out when it was done, but from what I remember it was only a patch where the took a "mold" so to speak of the pattern on the skin. So might be able to be done in vehicle. I'll take photo's in the next few days, but let us know if you can't get in contact with them. I've got their business card with email and a mobile on it. Cheers
