Default Territory Rims, EA hubs all on a trailer advice!

Hi all, my missus has a 2012 Territory running 235/60/17 tyres, I'm building a motorbike trailer that has EA stud pattern hubs & I wanted to fit Territory steelies to the trailer so that I could use spare from territory instead of carrying a trailer spare - I know EA-EL have a different offset to AU onwards rims but does that have any real effect or hindrance when fitted to a brakeless trailer hub? If I keep the tyre size on trailer to 235/60/17 can I use the territory spare without issue? Any help is appreciated, have tried googling this stuff but all posts found related to AU rims on EA style cars

The stud pattern is the same so as long as the Territory offset works on your trailer it'll be fine. Try the Terry spare on and check for clearance. I've run Territory wheels including their larger tyres on my box trailer (mainly used to carry bikes) for years.

The offset worked well for me (spaced under the guards ok and no rubbing) the only issue is if I load the trailer up with a decent load (eg. blue metal, sand) the taller tyres will rub on the tops of the guards.

Pic here when it was all nice and new, sadly it doesn't look as good anymore.

awesome - thanks man, it'll be a dedicated 2 bike trailer & has 5 leaf suspension so I think I'll be OK with load impact. Cant thank you enough for the quick reply and words of advice - wish my trailer looked as clean as yours! Will post some pics when it's all done

the wheel shoud fit up ok, but the center rim bore is larger on territory* over the EA so the wheel will rely only on the nuts to centre it and also will affect it when you hit a pothole going 100kph with no support on center rely on nuts alone to hold true.

may need to get some centering rings from tyre shop to suit.

*assume territry rims are similar to fg's*

It's pretty rare to see light trailers that are centred on the hub.
A new set of AU onward hubs and bearings is about $70 from a trailer shop which will give you the correct offset.
