Link?
Without knowing the dimensions or specs of the unit we can't really help you much.
Best I can do is give you the dimensions of my Clarion 2 din (VX402A) that fits in the dash quite well..
It's 178mm from left to right, 163mm from front to back and 100mm from top to bottom.

Hey mate,
does that unit stick out on the bottom a bit? (curvature on the lower au centre stack).

Not much... maybe a few mm.
Depends on how fussy you are I guess.

Looking at that one it will be a very tight squeeze width wise.
Also I'd be very wary of Chinese no brand gear... if it screws up, what support/warranty will you get?
Personally I'd save a little more coin and get something decent. My unit is $399 at Autobarn at the moment and has DVD/DivX playback, rear USB/I-Pod interface, reversing camera, touchscreen, bluetooth, steering wheel remote interface and it sounds great. (I didn't pay that for it though, mine was second hand after the original owner didn't like the way it fit in her AU. Her loss, my gain )

You do not need to worry about measurements - DIN is a standard size measurement that all headunits conform to. Double DIN is just twice the height thats all. The factory AU headunit is a double DIN so an aftermarket one will take its place just fine.

BUT - what you will find is that the curve of the AU dash means your new headunit will stick out at the bottom, anywhere from 15-30mm. Whether or not you can live with the look is up to you.

Yes it will pickup Oz radio no issues. Only get problems if you buy off Ebay and its an import version.
