Default Air conditioner in a Laser KB 1984????

Hi.

I have a Laser 1984 KB that I inherited off my grandmother which is brand new (40 000km on the clock). My wife wants to put air con in it however I'm not sure if this is possible. Does anyone know if this can be done and what sort of cost would be involved???

Cheers
Blake.

I've done this to other cars from that era but not the laser.
Your best bet is to find a pick and pull wrecker and take all the parts off that you need.

If you haven't got a factory WSM (inc. wiring diagram) it is probably a good idea to purchase one, this way you'll be able to research all the parts that are different and you'll be able to make a list of parts that you will need.

It will also be very useful when fitting it.

As mentioned above there were several different types; it's best to get a factory one if you can find it. You may have better luck looking for one on a BD 323.
If you are forced to mix and match aftermarket ones you may have trouble fitting it all together and the factory wiring diagrams will be only be useful for the factory systems.

If you have the space buy a parts car and take off what you need and then sell off the car when your done.

Any auto electrician who is licensed to do A/C work will be able to do it for you.
