G'day all
I'm new here so apologies if this is an old thread. I have a 4 door XM which I've owned for 10 years or so. In the last 12-18 months she's been running rough (gets shaky and cuts out while driving) and I cant seem to find a decent mechanic that knows their way around these old Fords. I live in the cbd of Melbourne and am looking for somebody reasonably nearby to help me out. Can anyone help? Cheers |

Not much to go wrong on those old girls.
Be either a partial fuel blockage, or an ignition issue - coil failing, points worn/loose, etc. What engine is in it? How well do you know the old sixes? You could probably nut it out yourself. edit: I personally don't know anyone, but someone on ozfalcon.com.au may know or be able to help, as they cover the x-series falcons.

Thanks Dave
Its got the original 170 in it. I dont really know my way around them apart from the basics but my main problem is space. I live in an apartment and my car is parked in the underground carpark...its pretty tight in there and not much room to really do anything even if I knew what I was doing Anyhow, thanks for your advice, I'll give ozfalcon a go. cheers |

PM me on ozfalcon, and I can probably help you nut it out if needed.
I'm in Croydon, and have a small factory where I run my business from, and play with these old girls in my down time. I'll look out for your thread.
