Default Looking for good mechanic for XM in Melbourne Inner suburbs

G'day all

I'm new here so apologies if this is an old thread.

I have a 4 door XM which I've owned for 10 years or so. In the last 12-18 months she's been running rough (gets shaky and cuts out while driving) and I cant seem to find a decent mechanic that knows their way around these old Fords.

I live in the cbd of Melbourne and am looking for somebody reasonably nearby to help me out.

Can anyone help?

Cheers

Not much to go wrong on those old girls.

Be either a partial fuel blockage, or an ignition issue - coil failing, points worn/loose, etc.
What engine is in it?
How well do you know the old sixes?
You could probably nut it out yourself.

edit: I personally don't know anyone, but someone on ozfalcon.com.au may know or be able to help, as they cover the x-series falcons.

Thanks Dave

Its got the original 170 in it. I dont really know my way around them apart from the basics but my main problem is space.

I live in an apartment and my car is parked in the underground carpark...its pretty tight in there and not much room to really do anything even if I knew what I was doing

Anyhow, thanks for your advice, I'll give ozfalcon a go.

cheers

PM me on ozfalcon, and I can probably help you nut it out if needed.
I'm in Croydon, and have a small factory where I run my business from, and play with these old girls in my down time.

I'll look out for your thread.
