We have a Prado and a Territory, the Prado like most other SUV/4WD offerings its more narrow than the Territory.
This will be the case with the Edge also. I have also test driven the Jeep which externally is bigger, but internally lacks space. I can only see Explorer as a worthy replacement. although we will get the Edge I cant see Everest selling well.. Its competitors are Colorado 7 Isuzu MUX Prado and Pajero. Its not a Territory replacement, is a more robust 4WD

Why choose a replacement when it's not finished yet? Wait till the last one rolls off the production line! I'll be buying one, still deciding between diesel and petrol. Are they doing a facelift, interior upgrades?

Highly likely we'll update to that one. Means I will have to take out my new battery isolator and re-do a whole bunch of things like HD towbar, caravan power circuit, airbags etc but it is worth it for a long-term keeper.

I agree wholeheartedly hence the new one in my driveway. Makes my duel cab ute feel stone age and noisy in comparison (diesel vs diesel). As for the road dynamics they're not even in the same league with one being a 4wd. The Territory would be one of the best value for money packages available in the market today. The comfort is second to none in my opinion. Here's hoping the Yanks have something that comes close for our market. |
