Default Brake upgrade for an EA falcon

Is there any brake upgrades out there for an EA? I all ready have slotted and cross drilled rotors with high temp pads. I am look for a twin piston setup or 4 piston setup on a 300mm rotor as I want to run my 16inch SVO wheels, otherwise I would run a 330mm rotor.

Cheers Al

Yeah the best conversion is to do the twin piston Mustang caliper. Its the same one that the EL GT falcon used. I have this on my race car and I can tell you that it will stop you better than your current setup.

Good Luck

I was looking at that setup, though they run a 330mm rotor, which I have been told may (20% chance) or my not clear (80% chance) the 16 inch rim.

I could supply DBA slotted rotors front and back with some better street performance pads for around $850 or it can be done cheaper with different brands etc.

thanks but yeh 850 is a bit steep since the thing is only worth a couple grand.. i remember reading that the xr6s came with just the regular breaks is this true? if so i couldn't get some from the wreckers then and going aftermarket is a bit exxy for my likeing.. rims are 16" from an el xr6 if that helps re the clearance issue. thnaks for your help tho..

if you can find the right ones some of the Jag callipers fit so you can get two or 4 spots.

So dig up an old thread but was it a straight fit for the calipers / rotors from the cobra mustang or was there excessive modification required ??

All non E series calipers will require brackets and a modification to the upright.

These will also require a modification to the upright as they have protruding slides/lugs unlike most conventional cars that have 2 mounting holes.
