Gents
Does the low coolant level light on the dash come on with the ignition, when it does the self check at power up? Just noticed my level light isn't working at all. Have checked the sensor (still works) and unplugged it but the light doesn't come on. Wondering if the light's blown or if there's a wiring issue. Cheers

Unplug it. You will know very quickly because it will start flashing when you start driving (just do not let the socket fall on the extractors like someone I know did ). I have put a non-sensor tank in my car and it required a 180 ohm resistor across the now vacant socket to stop the level light flashing.
An open circuit is considered a fault by the system. Good luck with it. Stu
