remember these are cars already built but are unsold

what would be nice is if lots of orders for new cars to be built were received

I do not see bargains here. End of last year you could get a G6ET for around $40000 Had some ks on it but still better than the $50000 they are trying to sell for.

Some manufacturers were still trying to offload 2012 stock in May last year.

These deals are nothing new, $40k XR6Ts have been happening for years. You can get '13 plates for far less at the moment even after the auto has been optioned ($40k advertised is for manual).

So without stuffing a dealer around what does this G6 end up being over 5 years on a weekly basis?

On that G6 it would be around the $560 per month.

4 years
no residual
10% deposit.

Hmm not to bad, I just got a quote for a TDi Tez at $506 per fortnight novated...

So a G6 at $130p/w just finance, or a Tez fully maintained at $250p/w buuut I dont own it at the end. Time for a spreadsheet!

Polyal, another thing to consider is the loan interest you will incur on the lease vs the Ford 2.9% deal. I found when I was getting lease quotes that the interest on their loan was pretty horrible.

Over the 4 year term the 2.9% Ford deal is very good IMO.

But thats all post tax and doesnt include reg/ins/fuel/servicing/tyres. Im just trying to get my head around whether its worth leasing or not. Like I said Ill make a spreadsheet and see what I believe my costs would be financing and servicing myself versus salary sacrificing.

At 771 that leaves 300ish p/m for running and all other costs.

I took a 2013 Ranger XLT for a test drive today. I was very impressed. Decent saving on the 2013 demo model.
Only problem for me is the Ranger is still suffering from the High demand, low supply problem.
I want a new car in about 2 weeks but the dealer wont sell me this Ranger until another one comes in and he doesn't know when that is happening yet.
Black Duel cab XLT 3.2L auto is exactly want I want, I just hope I don't miss out on it.

There are 23 black XLT autos on car sales. 8 being demos. Call around, you never know, you might find a better deal elsewhere. I bought our XR6T from a dealer 1000km from where I am and had it shipped down.
