g'day, i'm interested in *attempting* a few cooling mods on my ED.
i have very little experience with engines etc but once i get the ball rolling im sure i'll pick it up as i've been into modding electronics and pc's for a couple years now. could anyone suggest something to get me started? cheers! :

Hmmm, I've made a PC without any fans or water cooling. Wonder if I can do the same with cars?
Thermofans would be the best starting place, and cleaning out leaves between the radiator and A/C condensor. |

ive seen advertisements for triple pass radiators supposed to make the engine run cooler (desert cooler i think) , you can buy different temp thermostats as well 160farenheit 170 180 190 etc

EF and onwards radiators have mounting points for thermofans which makes it a bit easier, but only the V8 models have the same water pump outlet size as EA-ED. If you were wanting to do a serpentine conversion with later model anciliaries, it would probably be best to do the whole lot at once (as I am doing) with a new EF 6 radiator. |

I was looking at making a (much) larger capacity header tank out of stainless. I'm sure you could fin the outside of the header so that it would help dissipate some of the heat.
Also an engine oil cooler may help keep the heat down? Aside from the other benifits.
