Question WQ 2007 Fiesta Ghia, Multimedia

I am having a Kenwood DVD headunit fitted with reversing camera, bluetooth etc.

I was supplied with a steering wheel harness and interface but my installer says they do not work.
I am disappointed that the interface and harness which cost $100 or so is useless.
Kenwood say it will work and Aerpro supplied the parts.
Anyone else struck this problem?

Installer is reputable, so not sure where to go with this issue, I would like the steering controls to work the kenwood.

Also looking at angel eye fogs to replace the factory originals so I have day time running lights.

That's Cool.
I'd like one without the cd/dvd but still keep my steering column controls.

Could you please elaborate as i am interested. Where did you get the fascia? What model number is the kenwood? How did you go with angel eyes?

Hi,
Aerpro site has the ford items you will need for the WQ.
Look up Ford aerpro harnesses and you will get to a PDF which includes the harnesses and the fascia parts kit for WQ.
I got the Kenwood DDX4031BT from Kenwood direct from their Ryde address with a 1 yr warranty.
Very pleased with the unit, its BT functions let you hook up up to 5 phones and allow the use of two at once,1 x phone and 1x audio BT.
I can use the DVD function, listen to dvd music or cd's or recorded cd's dvd's with music in most formats. am/fm radio is much superior to the stock ford units. BT music from my Blackberry bold or Iphones (5S)
The Kenwood is 2011/2012 model though still streets ahead of the ford unit. BT hooks up within 60 secs, mic is fitted at rear view mirror area, and I had my front view camera hard wired at same time as the reversing camera was installed.
Hope this helps, sure made my car much more pleasant to use.

Here is the link to the angel eye fogs I was interested in.

They look less garish than the strips many are getting these days.

Fitted these and added LED sidelights, look great, visibility improved from front.
Very understated look, so happy with the result.
Had them wired so they switch on with sidelights.
