I was told recently that some high-series AUs came with metal interior door handles, like EF/EL and BA. I have have chrome handles, but they're plastic ones coated in chrome. If there is a such thing as chrome interior handles for AU's, I'll be after a set for sure.
Wasn't sure if they exist or not. I know that with the bonnet spears on AU Fairmonts, they swapped from metal to plastic from AU1 to AU2. I have a metal one from an AU1 on my wagon. Thanks, Chris |

They feel cheap is the issue. I done up an EF wagon with ghia everything including the door handles a few months back. Am doing up an AU the same now and the plastic feels cheap and nasty by comparison.

Yes, it wasn't an issue of fragility, but the fact the metal ones feel nicer, and the chrome coating cant peel so easily.
