EXACTLY what I was thinking...
Why not build it like the old GT's with BALLSY brakes, top of the line light weight suspension components, maybe air and stear but no other HEAVY extra's, NO sound deadening etc..Engine slightly enhanced with ported manifolds etc run all polution gear and lower final drive... Attack performance from a green side...Even design engine to run 100% ethonol ???

That Clubsport R sits under the Bahrain part of the HSV site, and is being propmoted by a company called Walkinshaw Performance - I guess an HSV affiliate. Not a lot of point whinging to FPV about this - it is basically the same as Herrods building the DJR 320.

Is an OK Idea, but not really practicle unless you live next door to a race track or wanted to spend some $$$ on a club car Racer, but at the same time you could just go out and buy a BA MKI GT and strip it out, sell the bits and spend the extra money on Mods!

Not really much to make a fuss about in my opinion, if you could register it then thats another story!

The Harrob diff housing bracket (black part over the diff) is what I have the fun of welding, linishing and sand blasting, at the place that I work at. from start to finish they take 1 & 3/4 hours each and I have to do 1 at a time as the Q.C has to be spot on.
