need more competition in the 3v falcon/fairmont community. Mr CVE and myself and that TOP GHIA are the only ones with decent power largely because there all blown in funnily enough 3 different ways. Mr CVE 320rwkw (turbo), TOP GHIA (claimed) 320rwkw (centrifugal) and myself with 365rwkw (Positive Displacement)
Going back 5 years ago I did a 12.8 with massive wheel spin then on seperate nights found traction and did an 11.7 to equal Mr CVE. But can disregard those times as I do not have the time slips anymore to back them up. Since then I have tuned the car on E85 ethanol and installed FRPP "hot rod" cams with a total of 490rwhp @ 8psi. Will hopefully be putting in some 3.7 or 4.10 gears and go down and see what she runs now. But im in no rush as there doesnt seem to be alot of competition like the 6T and the boss5.4/sc5.0l guys.

Cant recall corey. Thats why i say disregard those numbers as i cant back them up. I could rattle off any number for you but it wouldnt help. There only he said/she said numbers now. Been out of the drag scene for 5 years now ever since i crashed her at powercruise 2008. So i probably should grab another set of m/t streets and a tank of E85 and give her a run. Working away doesnt help either.
Azza i have spent 5k on this btr 4spd so will see how she goes for now. So far so good. Those zf's attract a pretty penny also.

I would have thought there would be more people playing with these things now.
As Xr3valve said , most of all this stuff, including mine and Craig's N/A times were all 5 + years ago.

I think I may have the forums fastest XT BF2 13.5 @104mph running 98 octane. Have a 100 octane tune ready to flash in, see how she goes on Wednesday.

Here is another 3v. I don't think it is his fastest run. It is a STD engine with airfilter and exhaust and a mail order tune. He has a few plans for the future...

STD gearing is the go IMO, add a stall converter and away you go!

Saw you racing on Sunday BFXT54L doing the 3V crew proud. I'm going to take my Fairlane Ghia for a run and see what it will do.

Yes but my Ghia did a 13.4 on a 24 degree night in the peaks of summer with No cold air intake, no 25% underdrive with a mail order tune! now with a retired destroyed motor! New 3v motor is in tomorrow with 88k on engine and a nice 13 degree winter run waiting for me next Wednesday!
And i'm sure u upgraded from a 2.73.1 to a 2.93.1 with a 6spd auto because i have spoken to you many times on a few of my ford pages! Not comparing brother, Just giving u the info haha! My car was the forums fastest automatic with a stock motor 13.471 @103mph I believe its been taken away from me but not for long Hey@brisxr6t!! I love your BF and the sound it makes! |

Ahh 2.55 to 2.73.1 I stand correct. I'd rather a zf 6spd over my 4spd 4.10 STD diff.....

quickest is quickest in my book.. no matter the model, transmission, colour etc.. there is only one quickest. At best there is a N/A quickest and forced induction quickest and thats it, no other categories or qualifications.
No good saying your the quickest 3V ghia or quickest 3V manual or quickest 3V 5.4 blue auto with diff gears, 17 inch rims and seat covers.. the n/a 6 guys are the biggest culprits for this... "im the quickest b series i6, unopened, untuned, diff geared, 4 spd auto, standard shocks car in the country"...a ridiculous statement |

You compare transmission and weight, mods etc so you can gauge what is possible. Other wise the lightest car with best combo wins every time.
It takes a lot more skill to stick shift vs a auto. Transmission choice effects the way the power and torque is delivered, which has a large effect on ET and MPH. |

What's ridiculous is people claim they are fastest in the country for some obscure category they make up that none else knows about or contests.. What's the relevance of a category of being the fastest 3V ghia? Is there a fastest futura category with beige interior? Or fastest untuned i6? You can't pick n choose what mods you want and then say your fastest for your chosen mods? Silly isn't it? Basically making up your own category. As mont said below its just excuses for not being fastest. Last edited by HULK_I6T; 28-08-2014 at 10:03 PM. |
