I was just browsing the net last night and tyresales popped up. Its part of the carsales group and was quite interesting.
I liked that I could just put in my car or tyre sizes and get an idea of what tyres may cost, instead of calling or going in person to ask for a price and then be hassled into buying. From what I can gather is you order them online, they deliver them to a local dealer and then you go there to get them fitted, correct? I was wondering has anyone used this site before? If so, how did you find the service? |

I used Tyresales about 12 months ago and got a great price, the same tire now is a lot more expensive.
Costco seems to have good prices with known brands. |

I used them recently and I can't fault them, good price (4x 19" Dunlop sportmax for under $1000 inc fitting) and service is good.

Good price. Am thinking though, is it old stock perhaps?

don't know, it was with a 5% discount but even then it was only about $260 per tyre before the discount. My assumption was that they must buy them in large quantities and sell them dirt cheap. They would have little overhead being an online store, I know the local ford dealer got $180 to fit them so it doesn't leave much for them though in the end.

The prices seem a bit dear. I do know they include fitting, delivery and a tyre roadside assistance. I'm looking at getting some KU39's and here they are $243. Best price I found is $172 delivered. Plus then about $20 for fitting and I already have full roadside assistance that comes with the Ford service so I'm saving around $130 when buying 4 tyres.
Pick the tyre you like and then shop around. Plenty of good deals out there.
