Territory Brake upgrade

Hi guys,

I've just picked myself up a 2009 TX Territory. It's stock as a rock and I plan on keeping it that way apart from the brakes, only thing I'm not impressed with are the stoppers. I drive in traffic everyday and do 700-1000kms a week and want to upgarde the brakes.

I've looked at some previous posts of yours and you seem to recommend the DBA T2 or T3 rotors. I am most likely going to keep the standard 17's. What would be the best bang for buck upgrade for just the front? I will be keeping the car for 5 years so I would prefer to go with quality and pay a bit more if it will service me better long term. Also what brake pads to you recommend with the BDA rotors? How much would all that cost including shipping to Melbourne. Thanks guys

Also If I buy Rotors and Pads, do I need upgrade the calipers and brake hoses as well to maximise their potential?

Around the $640 mark will get you DBA T3 Slotted front and Ferodo DS Performance pads delivered to you and there is no need for braided hoses or caliper upgrades to fit these they just go straight on. The pads are dusty but i believe you will prefer the stopping power they give. I also suggest doing the rears as soon as you can afford too to maximise the benefit of good brakes.

Awesome! And will the T3 slotted front fit under the standard 17's?

Just from your experience, what ballpark figure would a mechanic charge to fit these fronts? I've done minor stuff on my car but never attempted fitting brakes so i would prefer a pro to do them.

The DS Performance are dusty ... but initial bite is goooood. And pull up well.
They will be the same sizing as standard (322mm ventilated).

I didd find when i changed my lines to braided that I got a more positive brake feel through the pedal as well (as I used to do a lot of horse floating as well).

The T3 rotor is the exact same size so will fit and cost could be from $120 to $150 i would estimate and i would sat that if you look hard enough you will find cheaper and we charge about $120

how much for a full set of Ferodo DS performance pads & front only DBA T2 slotted for a na territory..taa

$530 plus freight or pick up is ok. DBA T2 front and front and rear DS Performance pads NA Terri.
