Talking Re-mapping naturally aspirated Fiesta

Hey, has anyone re-mapped the ECU on a non-turbo Fiesta?

I think Herrod Motorsport was looking into it back when I first got my WS in 2009, might only be worth doing if you want to do the full exhaust too, so you get some sort of decent gain out of it.

Mountune in the UK does off the shelf performance parts for them too if you are interested.

I have had a CAT back 2" system fitted with flow though mufflers. I also fitted a K&N cold air intake. I noticed a slight (and I do mean slight) difference when I fitted the exhaust, but not really anything when I added the air intake 2 weeks later.
The fuel economy is still really good, averaging 5.8l/100 with a 60/40 freeway - stuck in traffic 102 km round trip everyday. I have noticed the fuel consumption dropped from .8 l/hour down to .7 @ idle when warmed up.
The first thing I noticed when I did the exhaust (and I don't want to start anything here) is the shudder in the auto disappeared. I know they are not related, I just saying what I noticed.
I'll check out the Mountune site.

Thats pretty good fuel economy, mines a WS CL manual with the 1.6L and I couldn't get mine under 6.3L/100km with mostly 100km/h highway driving, but its 100% stock.

I pretty much have had the same fuel economy since day one (before I added the exhaust and intake). I do drive like Miss Daisy, mostly off the cruise control because WA is a Police State, and a standard auto Fiesta doesn't really inspire the boy racer in me. I have mapped drives on tanks of 91, 95, 98 octane. I only drive on 98 oct now. I get about 60/70 kms more out of the tank with 98. The car drives better, is a little more responsive, and extra km's does go some way to offset the high fuel prices in the West
