I have a 2000 model au wagon and the immobiliser is on and I only have one key and one button. The button won't open or lock doors. Is there a quick fix or am I waisting my time and should take it to a pro ?? Cheers

Hows your remotes battery & does your AU open with the key with no problems?

Battery in the remote and car battery are brand new. And yes the key opens doors and turns car on just won't crank mate

The owners manual tell me that the rong key has been used but that's not the case. It just sat there for ages after changing engine
|

Is your interior light working?
Try the key in the igntion at on position for 20mins as well for the re-learn procedure. (Fordmods, Dellboy999) Try googling, plenty of info there too. May have to ring a locksmith or Ford. cheers, Maka

When only the key would work I found that the tiny fuse was blown!!
