hwy guys im looking to squeeze a little bit more take off in my au series 2 xr6(its 5spd manual so already has that going for it), im thinking about ignition systems, coilpack, sparkplugs, leads etc etc and also what about the fuel delivery? is there any way i can improve that?
im thinking aftermarket fuel regulator for that department any help would be much appreciated(i dont know much about fords and aftermarket parts for them, im more of a import modification guy |

Upgrading the cam is a seriously easy job with those motors. I think you'd just need to re-tune the engine control module. Fit extractors if you havn't already. Bigger exhaust maybe? I'd recommend 2.5 inch.
Also maybe upgrade the intake. The stock ones have a squeeze point at the left shocky tower. Something that would have an obvious although minimal negative effect. From a laymans point of view, having an upgraded fuel delivery system will have no benefit if the motor still runs stock. I'm no expert but my theories are simple. Make it breath better, maybe increase the valve clearance, then give it more juice. |

ill go with that and see how i go, already done the intake piping, its about 3.5" now with a pod hidden in the stock box with a giant *** ss inductions snorkel thing, has 2 1/2" catback, yet to throw extractors onto it and was going to port the heads and big bigger valves into it but havent put much planning into the head yet so its not happening right away

its a series 2 with that funny oval shaped plug that helps
