Hi all
just need some heads up. The fron tbrakes on the capri after doing overhall with new pistions and rubbers . When putting back toghter . Should you lube the pistion inside when putting pistion back in . Whats the steps and the right steps i really need this issue needs to be sorted out by stopping at places ....anyway if anyone has beter plains please responded cherrs |

the caliper cylinder wall has to be very clean no scoring //like new
..and the piston (you have new ) you use rubber grease to rebuild the calipers kits (red stuff ) metho /brake caliper cleaner to clean the caliper parts wet and dry paper helps as well make sure the bleeder is clean also you may consider painting the calipers with heat resistant caliper paint

dirty hands i get all that but when pistions go back in the caliper is there a lub i mean that goes in the same time to make it slide in and out better.. So it will not frezze on me with time. As i dont drive the car that offen . Cheers |

You'll be right smearing some brake fluid inside to slide the piston into the caliper. The piston will be constantly exposed to fluid on the inside once it's been bled. It's only if its left without fluid, or fluid that's old and probably contaminated with water that it might start to seize.
