It's awesome, damn hard in the V8 but that is expected.

Got a chance to download and play Bathurst for a bit on Sunday arvo. My god it is good!!

So freaking tough, but when you get it right, it is sensational! Still a lot of work to be done on my laptimes though.

Definitely. The stock set up is rubbish on there though, I'm using this one which seems to make it behave better:

Seem to go round in the low to mid 2:15's and have dipped in to the 14's but not consistently.. (in other words I'm not good)

Agree Bluey, I need to keep reminding myself to stop trying to cut the corner as concrete isn't exactly forgiving...

Would love to be doing 2:08's!

Hey guys a thread mine here, but as I just finished building my gaming rig and have a G27 I was wondering about iracing. I am right into simulation, currently playing Euro Truck Sim 2 and actually built the PC for flight simming, but have gotten side tracked with ETS2 and I was a bit put off by needing nearly 300gb DL just to have a nice exp.

So thought for a few months I would muck around with driving sims.

Give Assetto Corsa a shot. I haven't touched iRacing for close to a year now I think, after getting hooked on it.

Project Cars is meant to come out March / April this year and looks like it'll be amazeballs too.

Assetto Corsa was great, need to work on my manual shifting, killed a few gear boxes. My mrs completed a lap in a ferrari. She just drove how she would on the road hahahaha. Needs some aussie cars and more tracks but.

The BMW E30 Group A car is just insanely fun, even all the rattles from inside the cabin

I absolutely love lapping around Mugello, which is odd cos I never really cared for it in any other game.

You'll find that different cars behave differently in regards to shifting, which is good.

The Lotus 49 for example is an absolute poo face to down shift quickly, you have to be spot on..

Also, Love the little details, like F1 cars don't have hand brakes (sounds like a small, obvious gripe, but it would take effort to program that out of the car) and also the LaFerrari, if you blow the engine, it then works off it's electrical motor for a small amount of time.

Pretty amazing they bother to include that tiny detail, which most people will never even discover.

Yeah I was able to complete a few laps in one of the race cars. I noticed that if a car has flappy paddles then you can't use the hshifter it auto uses the flappy paddles, however I had one car with a manual shifter but the game kept using my flappy paddles, but before then I had been using my h shifter fine.

The E90 M3 in drift spec turns in to a 6psd for some odd reason.

I DL Barbagallo and absolutely flew around it in the Merc, but I can't win a race even with the comp difficulty at lowest. I managed a silver medal with the M3 in time attack, but just can't win a race.
