Like mentioned earlier, your o2 sensor probably need's changing out. A scan of your ecu could show a faulty sensor ie: o2 sensor, coolant temp sensor etc. If you haven't got a scan tool your local mechanic or Supercheap can do a ecu scan for you.
I know you've already replaced leads & plugs, also replacing your air filter, fuel filter & doing a engine oil change will help to restore your fuel economy too. cheer's, Maka

A good result would be dropping your mileage to about 16L/100klms under the same conditions. Remove all unnecessary weight from the car, ensure your tyres are up around 35+psi, clean your wheels inside and out, change your o2 sensor, do a computer reset, clean your throttle body and throttle position sensor, make sure the car is actually getting up to full operating temperature, turn the aircon off as much as you can, wind your windows up over 70kmh, remember cruising in a falcon is the same pace as a four banger giving it a bit, you can always accellerate slower. Check your plugs and leads, hell, change the plugs, they're cheap. Make sure your air filter is either new or clean. Other than that, that's life in VCT land.

Further to this, you can try putting your cluster into diagnostic mode and head over to function six - it'll give you a realtime readout of litres consumed. It'll quickly point out how inefficient the AU really is - even just taking it easy. Marching up hills just keeping your speed constant really sees the AU consume fuel at a rapid rate.
I recall someone on here about 7 or 8 years ago equating an AU's fuel usage as similar to that of a Boeing 747 on takeoff.
