Default Wheels of Wamboin - Sat 18 April 2015

Hello All,

The Wamboin Community Association is hosting the Third Annual Wheels of Wamboin.

The event is for all things automotive and will be held in conjunction with the Wamboin Home Produce markets.

All sorts of automotive machines including old, new and interesting cars, motor bikes, trucks and even tractors are welcome. Last year they had over 75 vehicles on display along with a stationary engine display.

As usual there was an enormous variety of vehicles and the “People’s Choice” award (the one and only award presented) went to a very rare and superb 1955 Swallow Doretti for the second year running, but not the same one as last year. This Swallow was red and owned by the brother of last year’s winner, a silver one! The Swallow is only 1 of 276 cars ever made and now two of them have won our award.

A bonus on the day is the opportunity to pick up some healthy bargains at the monthly local home produce markets. The market day has freshly brewed coffee and a sausage sizzle.

If you are interested in displaying your car please email peter.evans@wamboincommunity.asn.au to confirm attendance to ensure adequate catering on the day.

Date: Saturday 18 April 2015
Time: 0900-1300hrs
Location: Wamboin Community Hall on Bingley Way, Wamboin (a 20 min drive from Canberra)
Cost: Display entry is a gold coin donation (remember to bring your cash as there is no EFTPOS).

Please add your name to the list below.

Sorry to hear that Stu. Hope you can make it.

JB and Dave, are you still keen?
If so let me know and we'll arrange a time and place to meet.

Cheers,
Gaz.

Let's see who is on the list early next week and then we can make a decision. At this stage I suggest we meet on Yass Rd QBN, just before Red Rooster.

Nice!

JB, Dave, Stu, what time do we meet on Saturday?
And who will send the email to the organisers to let them know we are coming?

Hi guys - I can email the Wamboin people later in the week when numbers are confirmed.

This event starts at 9am!! So should we meet at about 8:30, on Yass Road next to Red Rooster as suggested by Dave?

Better bring umbrellas, due for rain according to the BOM.

JB

I'll be in as well (gets me out of the house hahaha) will only be in the XR6 as still don't have the wagon back yet.

I think meeting for an 0830 departure on Yass Road is a good idea

I'm still happy to go.
I think it's not supposed to rain until the late morning / early afternoon.

At least that's what the weather man says.

Gents as much as I'd love to, I just checked the weather and it's 5-7mm of rain which is pretty steady so not really sure haha
