Default Is Hellcat really coming to Aus?

Reading the Jeep Grand Cherokee article they said that the Hellcat might be on its way to Aus. Can anyone see this happening?

CEO has put forward a business case for the Charger, Challenger and RAM 1500 I believe.

Remember the 300C SRT-8 is now unique to our RHD market I believe, so they do show some promise to chase our market down here.

I don't know if we would get the Hellcat but maybe the regular hotted up variants of the Charger/Challenger.

Though I doubt we would suddenly get them towards the end of their model cycle, if they do decide to design them for RHD it would be done during new model development, so I think 2018 is when we will see.

I believe RAM is undergoing development for a new model at the moment, so possibly we might see it sooner if they go ahead? Though they also do have plans for major update also in 2018 so maybe then?

I suspect we won't get the Hellcat. I'm sure I read a little while ago that they stopped taking orders in the US for it because demand was far outstripping their ability to supply them. I'd happily take a regular one.

Yeah, all 3 are due for new generation models in 2018 so I agree that's probably when we would see them.

The new 300 looks pretty nice too. The only time you will be seeing Falcons in the future will be at car shows :(

'Can anyone see this happening?'

Based on the way we have been treated by governments past and present you would have to think not.
It might go too hard or look and sound 'hoonish'.
We the people couldn't possibly be trusted.

I imagine Hellcat would be difficult to get past emissions regs and standards at that power level so I doubt it would come here.

The others though, our local CEO seems to be pushing hard for the goodies for us which always helps I guess.

Hopefully he fiddles the books to make it look like a worthwhile venture down here

How good would it be having this monster here?
The only thing is, from reviews it seems to be a bit of a pig in the corners, but it was only built to go in a straight line.

If FCA can bring it here, c'mon Ford, get the GT350(R) build in RHD, price it similar and get it here.

Yeah that was one of my posts, and to be honest it surprised even many in the US, many expected it to be starting at 60k.
Hell even if we got it here for 70k..bargain for what it is.

US emissions are tougher than here.
