Phil Lamattina had a biggie..
Suspected spinal damage.. Best wishes for a full recovery

The aero (front wing), fighting traction must put some incredible forces on the puny chassis at 500ks?

That's it hey . I was there for the 07 crash. Even then wondered how he even survived , it looked bad .

I saw Phil's brother on 9 news Brisbane last night saying the family is going to pull out of drag racing!! Pretty sad but understandable.

I was looking at that car in Brisbane Square on Friday - it was there with a 68 Camaro doorslammer and a funny car as a promo for Winternats.

I looked down the body from next to the cockpit and thought the panel work and the minimal Dzuz fasteners looked a little light duty for a car of that capability, but thought 'nah, the people who build these things know what they're doing'...
