Hi all I did a quick search but couldn't find anything.
I'm wondering if I bother changing water pump while I'm doing the Timing belt? Usually when you have all the front of the engine apart you may as well do it? I'm a little on the budget side at the moment so I'd like to leave it. the car has done 105K. I know in the book timing belts are 200k but I just don't want a bucket full of bent valves anything else I should change whilst in the timing belt area that gives issues on a MA Diesel. cheers all for the replies. |

if it was me , i think i would be doing the water pump, if you do the pump it should be peace of mind for the next 5 years ish or 100,000 k`s or so imo,
im not familiar with these engines, but while its in bits i would be having a look at any idler pulleys/tensioner pulleys and the fan belt as well. |
