Some Western Australian drifting action today at Barbagallo. A distinctly imported flavour with zero Australian built entrants... heck I felt like grabbing the old EL and kickin' her round for a few laps just to show 'em what we can do.
Anyway, some pics for those interested. That car catching fire was awesome. He was going pretty hard and then something must've broken. I have a video of another mad drifter, fire sparked out the exhaust and the whole show slowed down a heck of a lot very quickly. Excellent spectator sport. Highly recommended.

Actually... there was a bloke in a Gemini. Does that count as australian?
Not sure why he was there though, could barely make the tyres chirp.

I'm sure it was bloody hot in the ИИИИpit of those things... it was near on 35C outside... only the wind was saving us.
Wouldn't be hard to overheat it when going sideways all the time.
